Will Motivate Conservatives and Independents to Show Up at the Polls on November 2.
Judge Susan Bolton created a firestorm with an initial ruling in favor of an injunction in the Arizona immigration law case. One would expect a judge to provide a well thought-out opinion to justify a high profile case such as this one. But the conservative columnists and bloggers have been given a valuable gift with an illogical ruling that defies court precedent on legal and procedural grounds.
While taking the Justice Department’s arguments and twisting them into a legal opinion, she has put her activism on full display and it will be exploited by Republicans this fall. This decision draws out the debate well into the heart of election season and will likely give Democrats another black eye. The only hope they has is to have President Obama grant citizenship to illegal aliens by dictatorial decree in hopes they will show up at the polls. Sounds nice to progressives, but it would probably ensure President Obama’s impeachment in 2011.
Here is a list of the indefensible political moves on Capitol Hill that will surely motivate all reasonable people to the polls to vote against the progressives.
Illegal Immigration and failure to secure the national borders, Charlie Rangel and tangible political corruption, 10% unemployment, government bailouts and crony capitalism, unsustainable debt, czars and unconstitutional executive power grabs, national health-care legislation, cap-n-tax, tax increases, racial politics, Gulf oil spill and incompetence in government, failure to stop terrorist attacks in the United States, terrorists in civil courts, Gitmo, apologetic and incompetent foreign policy, anti-Israel policy, a litany of polarizing social initiatives including changing “don’t ask–don’t tell”, union favoritism, and concern for radicals occupying the White House… just to name a few.
